1958 :: Gaudreau’s great journey began on January 28th, 1958 when Mr. Jacques Gaudreau bought his first waste truck for domestic waste disposal.

1961 :: The business incorporated on June, 1961 under the name Jacques Gaudreau inc.

1966 :: Mr. Gaudreau purchases a landfill located on highway 116 in Victoriaville. This was done at a time when sustainable development wasn’t yet a "trendy" word. Mr. Gaudreau showed great ingenuity when he decided to use two trucks during collection: one for loading waste, the other for loading recycling material such as cardboard, glass bottles and one-gallon Javel jugs.

1973 :: Mr. Gaudreau opens his first landfill in Saint-Rosaire.

1977 :: The business expands: A first office adjacent to the garage is built on highway 116 and Mr. Gaudreau purchases one of his first side-loading trucks –a vehicle almost never seen before in Quebec.

1978 :: The hard work and the long hours that Mr. Gaudreau has invested in establishing guidelines for sustainable development finally pay off. The National Assembly of Quebec votes for the closure of non-compliant dump sites that do not meet the government’s guidelines on environmental preservation.
